Open Enrollment for Health Insurance Coverage for 2015, takes place between November 15, 2014 to February 15, 2015.
If you don’t enroll in a health plan by February 15, 2015, the only way you can get health insurance for 2015 is if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
During 2015 Open Enrollment, if you enroll or change plans:
Between the 1st and 15th day of the month, your coverage starts the first day of the next month. For instance, if you enroll on January 5th, your coverage starts on February 1st.
Between the 16th and the last day of the month, your coverage starts the first day of the second following month. So if you enroll on December 16 and up to January 15, your coverage starts on February 1.
Between February 1, 2015 and the enrollment deadline of February 15, 2015, your 2015 coverage begins March 1, 2015.
